Apprenticeship Job Title: Apprentice Nursery Assistant
Apprenticeship Qualification: Early Years Practitioner Level 2 OR Early Years Educator Level 3
How does the Apprenticeship work?
As an Apprentice, you will be employed, just like anyone else at the company, the difference is that you will be studying towards a qualification.
You’ll spend a minimum of 6 hours a week (of your total working hours) in a number of different Training, Learning & Development Activities that all develop your Knowledge, Skills & Behaviours in line with your Apprenticeship Qualification. These will include (for example) staff meetings, online courses, shadowing other team members, as well as a monthly online (via MS Teams) study workshop, basically a lesson, with your Tutor, lasting between 2 and 3 hours, during which you will be taught a particular subject / topic / module.
Any work that you are set within this session is then expected to be complete for the next month’s session. You will be given time each week to do this within your working day/week – so no homework!! This will all prepare you for your End Point Assessment (EPA) once you have completed all the learning required.
