In many cases, yes. Most apprenticeships lead to a job within the company you trained with. If not, you’ll still have a recognised qualification and valuable experience to support your next step.

If you’re struggling or need more time, speak with your trainer assessor and employer. Extensions can sometimes be arranged to delay your End Point Assessment (EPA) / apprenticeship assessment.

Apprenticeships are designed within working hours. Your employer will provide dedicated ‘off the job’ time for learning and development. Despite the name, most activities happen naturally within your role, with a weekly allocated study session. Any additional work outside hours is optional.

WHO are St James Health Centre?

This NHS GP Practice aims to provide the highest quality of medical care possible to the Liverpool community. Their team is led by GPs with experienced clinicians such as Advanced Nurse Prescribers, Physician associates, Clinical Pharmacists, and technicians. They are a training practice and have doctors in training for the specialty of Family Medicine.

WHAT will I get from working with St James Health Centre?

  • EARN: £8-£12.71 per hour (NMW for age), 37.5 hours per week
  • EXPERIENCE- your hours: Monday to Friday 7.45am to 4.15pm and 10am to 6.30pm (shifts alternate weekly).
  • QUALIFICATION: Customer Service Specialist Level 3 takes approximately 17 months.

WHAT will my DAY look like?

You will be joining a small, friendly team and support with the smooth running of the practice. This is a great opportunity to gain the training and experience needed to take the first steps in building your career in an administration customer/patient facing role within the NHS. Your daily tasks will include:

  • Answering the telephone.
  • Making outbound calls to book patient appointments.
  • Dealing with queries and ordering prescriptions
  • Making appointments for the patients using care navigation techniques to sign post to the appropriate service.
  • Admin/ filing/ coding hospital letters.
  • Minimum of 6 hours per week spent on apprenticeship work and training.

HOW does the Apprenticeship work?

Working towards your Customer Service Specialist Level 3 Qualification, you’ll attend monthly 1-2-1 meetings (online via teams every month – NO classroom OR college!) with your tutor and learn about modules including the organisation & role fundamentals, customer management and the customer experience. You will be given a minimum of 3 hours per week to complete any apprenticeship work (assignments, research, and projects) and will receive at least another 3 hours of training from your employer. All apprenticeship work and training is completed in the workplace, during working hours.

WHAT skills/qualifications do I NEED?

  • Minimum GRADE 4/C in GCSE (or equivalent) Maths & English
  • UK Residency – must have lived in the UK for at least 3 years
  • Communication, team working & customer care.
  • Analytical, IT, organisation, problem solving & presentation skills
  • Logical, attention to detail & initiative.
  • Creativity, non-judgemental & patience.
  • Administrative & numeracy.

WHAT will I get from working with Your Brand Solution?

  • EARN: £9 per hour, 37.5 hours per week
  • EXPERIENCE- your hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm (flexible).
  • QUALIFICATION: Multi-Channel Marketer Level 3 takes approximately 19 months.

WHAT will my DAY look like?

You will be working as part of a small team with plenty of opportunities for progression. There will be flexibility for your working hours and remote working 3 days per week. Your daily tasks will include:

  • Copywriting, AB testing & creating/ sending newsletters.
  • Google marketing/analytics.
  • Assisting with development of marketing plan.

You will be given a minimum of 3 hours per week to complete any apprenticeship work (assignments, research, and projects) and will receive at least another 3 hours of training from your employer. All apprenticeship work and training is completed in the workplace, during working hours.

WHAT skills/qualifications do I NEED?

  • Minimum GRADE 4/C in GCSE (or equivalent) Maths & English
  • UK Residency – must have lived in the UK for at least 3 years
  • Communication, confidence & customer care.
  • IT, organisation & admin skills.
  • Analytical, logical & attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently & use initiative.

Hannah enjoys engaging with children to develop their creativity. This helps children to learn how to express themselves and therefore, understand and respect the values, views and feelings of others.

WHAT will I get from working with Rainbow Holme Childcare?

  • EARN: £8 per hour, 30 hours per week
  • EXPERIENCE- your hours: Shifts between 9am and 6pm, preferably 4 days per week (can be flexible but 30hrs is required)
  • QUALIFICATION: Early Years Practitioner Level 2 takes approximately 16 months.

WHAT will my DAY look like?

This is a small setting where you will be working directly with the Owner, which means the role will be very hands on and you will be involved in all aspects of childcare and gain a variety of practical experience working with all age groups along with plenty of support working in such a close team. It has a warm and friendly family environment where children are nurtured and encouraged, and there’s lots of outdoor activity out and about in the local area. Your daily tasks will include:

  • Ensuring that the children’s individual needs are identified and met.
  • Supervising and supporting the children at all times.
  • Carrying out a wide range of interactive tasks including reading stories, helping at mealtimes, playing games, and changing nappies.
  • Act as a positive, practical role model for the children.
  • Develop friendly, professional relationships with parents.
  • Ensure you fully understand and follow Safeguarding Procedures.
  • Minimum of 6 hours per week spent on apprenticeship work and training.

HOW does the Apprenticeship Work?

Working towards your Early Years Practitioner Level 2 Qualification, you’ll attend monthly 1-2-1 meetings (online via teams every month – NO classroom OR college!) with your tutor and learn about modules including child development from birth to 7 years, safeguarding, promoting wellbeing, supporting activities, purposeful play & educational programmes, and more!  You will be given a minimum of 3 hours per week to complete any apprenticeship work (assignments, research, and projects) and will receive at least another 3 hours of training from your employer. All apprenticeship work and training is completed in the workplace, during working hours.

WHAT skills/qualifications do I NEED?

  • Minimum GRADE 4/C in GCSE (or equivalent) Maths & English
  • UK Residency – must have lived in the UK for at least 3 years
  • Communication & team working skills.
  • Independence, initiative & problem-solving skills.
  • Patience, empathy & a caring nature.
