Accounts Assistant Apprentice

WHO are Hotel TV Company?

Hotel TV Company is a specialist supplier & system integrator of commercial TVs, TV Systems, In-Room Entertainment and other technology solutions across UK & Ireland. They are a small but very successful, vibrant company, dealing with a wide variety of clients in the hospitality, healthcare & retail sectors. They’re now looking for someone to join their team and be part of the action behind the scenes of their sales process.

WHAT will I get from working with Hotel TV Company?

  • Earn £8.00 per hour, 37.5 hours per week
  • Working Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm
  • QUALIFICATION: AAT Level 2 takes approximately 14 months.

WHAT will my DAY look like?

You will be joining a small, friendly & fun team, excited to welcome a new member to join them on their journey to success. This is a great entry-level role to kick-start your career in accounting! Your daily tasks will include:

  • Adding invoices & credit notes to KashFlow (Accounting Software).
  • Following up unpaid invoices.
  • Sending customer invoices & chasing missing supplier invoices.
  • Chasing rebates – Supplier.
  • Reviewing aged debtors on Kashflow.
  • Completing bank reconciliation.
  • Preparing VAT, P&L (Profit & Loss) & WIP (work in progress) reports.
  • Updating stock in/out in Zoho Inventory & completing inventory reconciliation.
  • Closing inventory-related deals (Sales and Purchase Order).
  • Processing all sales orders across systems, KashFlow, Inventory and Projects.
  • Reconciling Zoho CRM vs KashFlow figures.
  • Setting up Direct Debit mandates (add mandate number).
  • Managing the Accounts inbox.
  • Supporting with Sales Order admin.
  • Minimum of 6 hours per week spent on apprenticeship work and training.

HOW does the Apprenticeship work?

You’ll work towards the AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting through monthly 1-to-1 online sessions (via MS Teams – so NO classroom OR college).

Your AAT Tutor will support you with the study and completion of the Mandatory Qualification ‘Certificate in Accounting.’ This contains 4 modules that will each take approximately 2 months each to complete. You will sit a mandatory online exam after completing each module that you must pass in order to gain your AAT Level 2 Qualification. Modules include Introduction to Bookkeeping, Principles of Bookkeeping controls, Principles of Costing and The Business Environment.

Your Skills Coach will help to develop your working skills such as communication and problem solving along with active learning and study of topics including Ethical Standards, Accounting Systems & Processes and work with your AAT Tutor to support your work towards the ‘Certificate in Accounting.’

You will be given a minimum of 6 hours per week to complete any apprenticeship work (assignments, research, projects and revision) all completed in the workplace, during working hours.

WHAT skills/qualifications do I NEED?

  • Minimum GRADE 4/C in GCSE (or equivalent) Maths & English
  • UK Residency – must have lived in the UK for at least 3 years
  • Strong IT, admin & number skills.
  • Organisation & attention to detail.
  • Friendly, reliable & a team player.
  • Initiative & problem solving.

WHO are Little Toes Day Nursery?

Little Toes Day Nursery is a small home from home private day nursery, registered to care for only 26 children per session. They are looking for someone to join their team to work alongside all staff members and children, giving knowledge, understanding and experience of child development from birth to 4 years 11months. You will be joining a close, supportive team that focuses on child led learning through play. The children, their interests and individuality truly do shape the setting and what they do daily.

WHAT will I get from working with Little Toes Day Nursery?

• EARN: £8 per hour, 40 hours per week
• EXPERIENCE- your hours: Monday to Friday shifts between 7.30am and 6pm.
• QUALIFICATION: Early Years Educator Level 3 takes approximately 18 months.

WHAT will my DAY look like?

Little Toes offers a full range of play, suited to each child's interests and development stage. The more fun you (the children and yourself) are having the more they will learn. Play does get messy, both indoors and out, so be prepared!

As much fun as they have, there is a serious side too. They cover the full care and development of the children. They are helping them learn and develop, shaping their futures and supporting them to reach their full potential- teaching them right from wrong, setting boundaries and supporting their independence.

For those with a true love of childcare and education, there is no more rewarding job! Your daily tasks will include:

• Supporting children's learning and development through play.
• Supporting children's independence and the learning of new skills.
• Helping to plan and deliver engaging activities that reflect children's individual interests and development stages.
• Assisting with daily routines such as mealtimes, nappy changing, and outdoor play.
• Using personal initiative to recognise and carry out changes in routines (and carrying these out in a time efficient manner).
• Building positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
• Following the EYFS (statutory framework) and Nursery's individual policies and procedures for the safe and legal running of the setting.
• Minimum of 6 hours per week spent on apprenticeship work and training.

HOW does the Apprenticeship work?

Working towards your Early Years Educator Level 3 Qualification, you'll attend monthly 1-2-1 meetings (online via teams every month – NO classroom OR college!) with your tutor and learn about modules including risk management, key person & attachment, learning & development, and more! You will be given a minimum of 3 hours per week to complete any apprenticeship work (assignments, research, and projects) and will receive at least another 3 hours of training from your employer. All apprenticeship work and training is completed in the workplace, during working hours.

WHAT skills/qualifications do I NEED?

• Minimum GRADE 4/C in GCSE (or equivalent) Maths & English
• UK Residency – must have lived in the UK for at least 3 years
• Qualifications in early years, childcare or health & social care
• Communication, team working & customer care
• Organisation, creativity & attention to detail
• Initiative, non-judgemental & patience

WHAT will my DAY look like?

A Business Administrator in healthcare is the backbone of operations, ensuring that doctors and nurses can focus on patients while administrative processes run smoothly. You will be part of the adult ADHD service and contribute to efficiency, patient satisfaction, and overall service quality in this team. Your daily tasks will include:

  • Managing appointments & patient records.
  • Assisting GPs, nurses, and managers with admin support (e.g., preparing reports, organizing meetings).
  • Handling any urgent queries from staff or patients.
  • Attending team meetings & supporting with project coordination.
  • Managing digital services such as online patient bookings or e-prescriptions.
  • Respond to queries from NHS organizations, suppliers, or healthcare partners.

HOW does the Apprenticeship work?

Working towards your Business Admin Level 3 Qualification, you’ll attend monthly 1-2-1 meetings (online via teams every month – NO classroom OR college!) with your tutor and learn about the modules. You will be given a minimum of 3 hours per week to complete any apprenticeship work (assignments, research, and projects) and will receive at least another 3 hours of training from your employer. All apprenticeship work and training is completed in the workplace, during working hours.

WHAT skills/qualifications do I NEED?

  • Minimum GRADE 4/C in GCSE (or equivalent) Maths & English.
  • UK Residency – must have lived in the UK for at least 3 years.
