PE Teaching Assistant Apprentice
School Sport Partnership delivering a service of PE teaching, CPD, competitive sport (incorporating the School Games), sports leadership and coaching, health and wellbeing interventions and community links across a network of 24 primary schools and 4 secondary schools.
The East Shropshire Schools Sports Partnership is committed to providing a high quality, needs driven service for PE and School Sport through an infrastructure of CREATIVE, INFORMED and EMPATHETIC staff. We believe that sport has the power to positively affect the lives of all young people.
The successful candidate will support the work of the East Shropshire PE and School Sport Partnership, their PE department (if secondary based) or their PE Coordinator and teaching staff (in Primary based) for 4 days p/wk. This will involve supporting the role of the host school in delivering high quality PE and school sport to pupils. This could involve supporting PE teaching from key stage 1 to 4, helping provide training support to primary staff and helping organise and deliver primary intra and inter-school tournaments and festival.
The successful candidate will also support extra-curricular sporting opportunities and other admin duties as and when required.
*Time/duties to be negotiated with Head Teacher, Head of PE and School Games Coordinator on a week to week basis

Ideally A* - C in Maths and English or equivalent
Training and Qualifications Required:
Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in Supporting Teaching & Learning in Physical Education & School Sport
Level 2 Functional Skills English (If required)
Level 2 Functions Skills Maths (If required)
Working Week and Salary:
Monday - Friday, working between 8:30am- 5pm (hours to be confirmed)
Total hours per week: 30
Wage per hour - £3.7=90
Weekly wage - £117
As with any apprenticeship, after you will have finished the qualification you will have the opportunity to progress onto the next level of the qualification. As well as being in full time employment.
