Business Admin Apprentice @ Huber + Suhner

WHAT will I get from working with Huber + Suhner?

  • EARN: £7.55 per hour
  • EXPERIENCE- your hours: Monday to Thursday 8.45am to 5pm, finish at 4.15 pm on Fridays!
  • QUALIFICATION: Business Admin Level 3 takes approximately 18 months.

WHAT is the purpose of the role?

Supporting the efficient running of the warehouse, managing material supplies, to ensure parts are available (quality and quantity) in line with production/sales demands,

Ensuring all incoming shipments are processed accurately and efficiently, in turn ensuring all deliveries are achieved to end customers, and that all associated administrative documentation are correct and copies scanned into our computer system.

And DAY to DAY, what will I do?

  • Ensure all movement of goods in and despatch are correctly processed; recording accurate goods data, and allocating to and from the appropriate areas
  • Update and maintain the warehouse MRP system – SAP, to ensure all production and replenishment orders are correctly picked and passed to manufacturing on the date required
  • Ensure customer goods are labelled correctly in line with company procedure and specific customer requirements
  • Manage correct packing of both internal and external components for issue to internal departments or external customers, to limit any potential damage during transit
  • Maintain accurate and up to date stock checks, ensuring cycle count is correctly carried out
  • Ensure all transfer of completed production orders are carried out swiftly and the MRP system is updated with the correct actions related to the production order
  • Ensure compliance with all company procedures and policies
  • Forklift truck training will be given to the successful candidate

HOW does the Apprenticeship work?

Working towards your Business Admin Level 3 Qualification, you’ll attend monthly 1-2-1 meetings (online via teams every month – NO classroom OR college!) with your tutor and learn about the modules. You will be given a minimum of 3 hours per week to complete any apprenticeship work (assignments, research, and projects) and will receive at least another 3 hours of training from your employer. All apprenticeship work and training is completed in the workplace, during working hours.

WHAT skills/qualifications do I NEED?

  • Minimum GRADE 4/C in GCSE (or equivalent) Maths & English
  • UK Residency – must have lived in the UK for at least 3 years
  • Numeracy and Literacy
  • Computer Literacy
  • Good communication
  • Ability to work as part of a team and / or alone
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Self-Motivation
  • Good social skills
  • Accurate attention to detail
  • Physically fitness as some lifting required
  • Flexibility to the needs of the business
