Overview

Delivered over 15 months, this apprenticeship equips learners with the essential knowledge and practical skills to support children's welfare, care, and development in a safe and inclusive environment. Apprentices will learn how to work in partnership to meet individual needs, identify safeguarding and child protection concerns, contribute to planning and organising activities, and promote children's well-being.

EPA / Apprenticeship Assessment

  • Professional discussion underpinned by a portfolio of evidence
  • Observation with questions
  • Apprentices can also work towards Functional Skills Level 2 in Maths and English, if not already exempt

  • Working in partnership to meet each child' s individual needs
  • Identifying safeguarding and child protection issues
  • Contributing to the planning and organise activities and children's individual experiences
  • Supporting the well-being of all children
