WHO are Little Explorers Nursery?

Little Explorers Nursery work in the childcare sector. They have created a safe, caring, and inspiring environment where children can thrive during their most important early years for children from the age of 6 months to 4 years. Their dedicated team nurtures each child’s curiosity, confidence, and creativity through play-based learning and meaningful experiences every day.

WHAT will I get from working with Little Explorers Nursery?

  • EARN: £8 per hour, 30 hours per week
  • EXPERIENCE- your hours: Monday to Friday – shifts between 8am and 6pm
  • QUALIFICATION: Early Years Educator Level 3 takes approximately 18 months.

WHAT will my DAY look like?

You will be supporting with the general care and guidance of children within the nursery. Your daily tasks will include:

  • Supporting children's learning and development through play
  • Supporting children's independence and the learning of new skills
  • Helping to plan and deliver engaging activities that reflect children's individual interests and development stages
  • Assisting with daily routines such as mealtimes, nappy changing, and outdoor play
  • Using personal initiative to recognise and carry out changes in routines (and carrying these out in a time efficient manner)
  • Building positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment
  • Following the EYFS (statutory framework) and Nursery's individual policies and procedures for the safe and legal running of the setting
  • Minimum of 6 hours per week spent on apprenticeship work and training.

HOW does the Apprenticeship work?

Working towards your Early Years Educator Level 3 Qualification, you’ll attend monthly 1-2-1 meetings (online via teams every month – NO classroom OR college!) with your tutor and learn about modules including risk management, key person & attachment, learning & development, and more!  You will be given a minimum of 3 hours per week to complete any apprenticeship work (assignments, research, and projects) and will receive at least another 3 hours of training from your employer. All apprenticeship work and training is completed in the workplace, during working hours.

WHAT skills/qualifications do I NEED?

  • Minimum GRADE 4/C in GCSE (or equivalent) Maths & English
  • UK Residency – must have lived in the UK for at least 3 years
  • Genuine interest in working with Children

WHO are Little Toes Day Nursery?

Little Toes Day Nursery is a small home from home private day nursery, registered to care for only 26 children per session. They are looking for someone to join their team to work alongside all staff members and children, giving knowledge, understanding and experience of child development from birth to 4 years 11months. You will be joining a close, supportive team that focuses on child led learning through play. The children, their interests and individuality truly do shape the setting and what they do daily.

WHAT will I get from working with Little Toes Day Nursery?

• EARN: £8 per hour, 40 hours per week
• EXPERIENCE- your hours: Monday to Friday shifts between 7.30am and 6pm.
• QUALIFICATION: Early Years Educator Level 3 takes approximately 18 months.

WHAT will my DAY look like?

Little Toes offers a full range of play, suited to each child's interests and development stage. The more fun you (the children and yourself) are having the more they will learn. Play does get messy, both indoors and out, so be prepared!

As much fun as they have, there is a serious side too. They cover the full care and development of the children. They are helping them learn and develop, shaping their futures and supporting them to reach their full potential- teaching them right from wrong, setting boundaries and supporting their independence.

For those with a true love of childcare and education, there is no more rewarding job! Your daily tasks will include:

WHAT will my DAY look like?

You will be joining a very warm and welcoming team of 12 that have lots of fun, just as much as fun as the children. You’ll be delivering a high standard of learning, development and care for children aged 0-5 years, ensuring that the nursery is a safe environment for children, staff and others and developing partnerships with parents/carers to increase involvement in their child's development. Your daily tasks will include:
