WHO are Broadfields Day Nursery?

Broadfields Day Nursery in Catford has been providing childcare for more than 26 years. They have grown to have 60 places in their nurseries and provide care for children from the ages of 3 months, including babies, toddlers and pre-school children.

It is universally known that children learn through play and that learning should be fun. Therefore, they endeavour to ensure that everyone has fun – children, staff and parents alike!!

Staff plan activities to ensure each development area is covered; thus, helping each child move on to the next stage of development, whilst enhancing their natural desire to learn.

WHAT will I get from working with Broadfields Day Nursery?

  • EARN: £8 per hour, 40 hours per week.
  • EXPERIENCE- your hours: Monday to Friday shifts between 8am and 6pm.
  • QUALIFICATION: Early Years Practitioner Level 2 takes approximately 16 months.
  • BENEFITS: Uniform provided, onsite parking, team building, Christmas get together & progression opportunities.

WHAT will my DAY look like?

You will be joining a small, welcoming team that offer a home from home environment. Everyone works together to support each other and provide the best care to the children in their setting. At Broadfields Day Nursery, you will be delivering a high standard of learning, development and care for children aged 0-5 years. Your daily tasks will include:

  • Providing all aspects of care for all children.
  • Assisting with meeting the personal and emotional needs of the children.
  • Helping children progress through their next steps
  • To be aware and abide by the settings policies.
  • Minimum of 6 hours per week spent on apprenticeship work and training.

HOW does the Apprenticeship Work?

Working towards your Early Years Practitioner Level 2 Qualification, you’ll attend monthly 1-2-1 meetings (online via teams every month – NO classroom OR college!) with your tutor and learn about modules including child development from birth to 7 years, safeguarding, promoting wellbeing, supporting activities, purposeful play & educational programmes, and more!  You will be given a minimum of 3 hours per week to complete any apprenticeship work (assignments, research, and projects) and will receive at least another 3 hours of training from your employer. All apprenticeship work and training is completed in the workplace, during working hours.

WHAT skills/qualifications do I NEED?

  • Minimum GRADE 4/C in GCSE (or equivalent) Maths & English
  • UK Residency – must have lived in the UK for at least 3 years
  • Communication, team working & customer care.
  • Creativity, initiative & presentation.
  • Non-judgemental & patience.

WHO are Enchanted Nursery?

As a day nursery registered for 72 children, they are open from 7.30am to 6pm Monday to Friday, 51 weeks of the year closing at Christmas and on bank holidays. They have four base age rooms, an attic space, a full-time kitchen, a large main Over 2’s garden, a smaller Nature garden and a canopy garden for the Under 2’s age group. They also offer a sensory room and Extra Activities room.

WHAT will I get from working with Enchanted Nursery?

  • EARN: £8 per hour, 40 hours per week
  • EXPERIENCE- your hours: Monday to Friday shifts between 8am and 6pm.
  • QUALIFICATION: Early Years Educator Level 3 takes approximately 18 months.

WHAT will my DAY look like?

You will be part of a homely, warm, caring and flexible environment helping to provide high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5. Your daily tasks will include:

  • Assisting with the daily care and supervision of children, ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times.
  • Supporting the planning and implementation of age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
  • Engaging with children through play, conversation, and educational activities to foster their social, emotional, and cognitive growth
  • Maintaining a clean, organised, and stimulating environment suitable for young children.
  • Working collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations within the nursery.
  • Supporting with administrative tasks such as record keeping and updating children's progress records.
  • Following all health and safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment for children and staff.
  • Minimum of 6 hours per week spent on apprenticeship work and training.

HOW does the Apprenticeship work?

WHAT skills/qualifications do I NEED?

  • Minimum GRADE 4/C in GCSE (or equivalent) Maths & English.
  • UK Residency – must have lived in the UK for at least 3 years.
  • Early Years Level 2 qualification (or equivalent).
  • Some childcare experience in a professional environment.
  • Communication, team working & customer care.
  • Attention to detail, creativity & initiative.
  • Non-judgemental & patience.

Hannah enjoys engaging with children to develop their creativity. This helps children to learn how to express themselves and therefore, understand and respect the values, views and feelings of others.

WHAT will I get from working with Rainbow Holme Childcare?

  • EARN: £8 per hour, 30 hours per week
  • EXPERIENCE- your hours: Shifts between 9am and 6pm, preferably 4 days per week (can be flexible but 30hrs is required)
  • QUALIFICATION: Early Years Practitioner Level 2 takes approximately 16 months.

WHAT will my DAY look like?

This is a small setting where you will be working directly with the Owner, which means the role will be very hands on and you will be involved in all aspects of childcare and gain a variety of practical experience working with all age groups along with plenty of support working in such a close team. It has a warm and friendly family environment where children are nurtured and encouraged, and there’s lots of outdoor activity out and about in the local area. Your daily tasks will include:

  • Ensuring that the children’s individual needs are identified and met.
  • Supervising and supporting the children at all times.
  • Carrying out a wide range of interactive tasks including reading stories, helping at mealtimes, playing games, and changing nappies.
  • Act as a positive, practical role model for the children.
  • Develop friendly, professional relationships with parents.
  • Ensure you fully understand and follow Safeguarding Procedures.
  • Minimum of 6 hours per week spent on apprenticeship work and training.

HOW does the Apprenticeship Work?
