Payroll apprenticeships offer a practical way to recruit new talent or develop existing staff, building the skills needed to manage payroll accurately, meet deadlines and support compliant business operations.
Payroll apprenticeships offer a structured way to recruit new talent or develop existing staff, helping your organisation build the skills needed to manage payroll with accuracy, confidence and care.
Our programmes develop capable payroll professionals with knowledge of payroll legislation, statutory deductions, data management and reporting, enabling them to contribute effectively within finance, HR or payroll teams.
Apprentices work towards a recognised Level 3 Payroll Administrator qualification, helping them build the knowledge, confidence and practical skills needed to progress in payroll.
Recent government updates mean there will be more support available to help employers recruit and train apprentices, particularly when hiring younger individuals or building entry-level roles.
This support makes it easier to bring new talent into your business while developing the skills you need for long-term growth.
Payroll apprenticeships support both your organisation and your employees, helping you build accurate, compliant payroll capability while developing confident professionals who can support your workforce.
We support you through the full process, whether you’re recruiting new talent or developing existing employees through structured training and ongoing support.
1. We recruit or support your existing team: We source and shortlist candidates or work with your current employees
2. You select the right approach: Choose the right individual or development pathway for your business
3. We train and support: We deliver structured training and ongoing support throughout the programme
Our payroll apprenticeships are designed to support both your organisation and your employees, whether you’re recruiting new talent or developing existing staff.
Each programme combines practical workplace experience with structured training, including workshops, 1:1 support, themed information resource guides and specialist webinars focused on payroll operations. Learners develop knowledge across areas such as payroll legislation, statutory entitlements and deductions, payroll data, computerised payroll software, new starters and leavers, and handling payroll queries.
This approach helps learners build confidence, apply their knowledge in real payroll environments, and contribute effectively in their role, while creating clear pathways for progression within your organisation.
The mentoring I received from my tutor was truly invaluable, I couldn’t have asked for a better trainer. I’ll really miss her guidance and our conversations as I move forward from this apprenticeship.
I’m so grateful for Lesley’s incredible support during my apprenticeship. She helped tailor my CV, secured interviews, and encouraged me every step of the way. I wouldn’t be here without her dedication and guidance.
This apprenticeship has had a hugely positive impact on my confidence at work and even helped me overcome imposter syndrome.
