Introducing Caring for Children and Young People

Our Caring for Children and Young People free online course is essential to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children under your care. This course will equip you with the knowledge and skills to protect children from potential dangers such as abuse and exploitation, as well as accident prevention and signs and symptoms of common childhood illnesses. You will also learn about aspects of child development, promoting a healthy lifestyle and the importance of play.

You can get a qualification accredited by NCFE CACHE, (equivalent to GCSE-level qualifications) in as little as up to 10 weeks for free! By committing up to 5 hours per week you’ll boost your CV and increase your chances of finding job opportunities or an apprenticeship. Level 2 courses typically lasting up to 10 weeks and Level 3 courses between 12 to 15 weeks.

All children and young people have a right to feel safe and with over 50,000 children identified as needing protection from abuse in the UK, it is important for those working in the care sector to understand the risks and strategies in how to protect children.
