In many cases, yes. Most apprenticeships lead to a job within the company you trained with. If not, you’ll still have a recognised qualification and valuable experience to support your next step.

If you’re struggling or need more time, speak with your trainer assessor and employer. Extensions can sometimes be arranged to delay your End Point Assessment (EPA) / apprenticeship assessment.

Chameleon Consultancy are looking for an Apprentice Administrator to join their friendly team, based in Tamworth.

As H&S, Fire, Environmental and Compliance Consultants and Trainers, they pride themselves on high standards, excellent service and communication. They operate nationwide from their central base.

As part of a small team, you will be valued and never just a number. The opportunity to contribute ideas and be heard are at the forefront of how they operate. They also have regular team days out!

WHAT will I get from working with Chameleon Consultancy?

  • EARN: £9 per hour, 35 hours per week.
  • EXPERIENCE- your hours: Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4pm.
  • QUALIFICATION: Business Admin Level 3 takes approximately 18 months.

WHAT will my DAY look like?

They are looking for someone confident that shows promise, that is looking to progress and learn, whilst maintaining great standards. You will naturally have great attention to detail, be confident using a computer and answering the phone, and be organised and methodical. Your role and duties will be varied, meaning you have opportunity to explore lots of different tasks to determine what your perfect role may be. Your daily tasks will include:

  • Providing administration support.
  • Managing the office supplies, upkeep, cleanliness.
  • Receiving visitors and setting up for training and meetings.
  • Being the first point of contact for any email and phone enquiries.
  • Other administration duties as required e.g., registering learners onto courses, proof reading of reports & formatting pricing proposals.
  • Contributing to our processes and documentation.
  • Working on online portals to manage client training.
  • Minimum of 6 hours per week spent on apprenticeship work and training.

HOW does the Apprenticeship work?

Working towards your Business Admin Level 3 Qualification, you’ll attend monthly 1-2-1 meetings (online via teams every month – NO classroom OR college!) with your tutor and learn about modules including the organisation, stakeholders, relevant regulation, business fundamentals, processes & external factors. You will be given a minimum of 3 hours per week to complete any apprenticeship work (assignments, research, and projects) and will receive at least another 3 hours of training from your employer. All apprenticeship work and training is completed in the workplace, during working hours.

WHAT skills/qualifications do I NEED?

  • Minimum GRADE 4/C in GCSE (or equivalent) Maths & English.
  • UK Residency – must have lived in the UK for at least 3 years.
  • IT Skills.
  • Attention to detail, organisation and analytical brain.
  • Outgoing, approachable and confident.
  • Eager to learn and be exposed to variety of different tasks.
  • Have an interest in any business administration, compliance, training, health and safety, environmental or fire.
  • You want to maintain great standards and take pride in all you do.

WHO are St Joseph’s School & Nursery?

St Joseph’s offers a Nursery education full of wonder and excitement and with so much to see and do, the children soon develop a love of learning about the world around them. In addition to all the activities and toys available in the rooms, the children visit the school library, take part in PE, have French lessons, cook, go on walks to see some of the City’s local attractions, they even manage to squeeze in some IT! Dance lessons are also available as part of the curriculum through ‘Rattle and Roll’, a local provider and the children are regularly integrated into school life through our weekly achievement assemblies.

The Nursery is attached to the main school and welcomes all children from 1 to 5 years old. It is open 51 weeks of the year from 8am to 6pm (Monday to Friday) and separated into 3 distinctive rooms - Rainbow Room, Sunflower Room and Pre-Prep.

WHAT will I get from working with St Joseph’s School & Nursery?

  • EARN: £8 per hour, 40 hours per week
  • EXPERIENCE- your hours: Monday to Friday 8am-4.45pm or 9.15-6pm.
  • QUALIFICATION: Early Years Educator Level 3 takes approximately 18 months.

WHAT will my DAY look like?

St Joseph’s are a hidden gem in the busy city centre and want you to join their team to give young children the best start in their early lives. They pride themselves on the diversity of their children, providing a safe, calm and supportive environment. You will gain valuable experience in this position which could set you up for a career in childcare! Your daily tasks will include:

  • Contributing to a programme of activities that meet the individual needs and interests of the children.
  • Recording children’s learning and development journeys and to then communicate these with parents, carers, and other key adults.
  • Being actively engaged in great team working.
  • Liaising with and supporting parents, carers, and other family members.
  • Participating in the high-quality care and supervision of all children.
  • Attending activities that are out of working hours (e.g. staff meetings, training, and events etc.)
  • Being flexible and to prepared to help where needed (including domestic jobs e.g. preparing meals and cleaning toys etc.)
  • Following the ethos of the nursery, creating a warm and friendly environment.
  • Working alongside the nursery manager & and staff team.
  • Ensuring that EYFS is promoted efficiently and that its policies are followed correctly.
  • Ensuring great customer service.
  • Helping with the smooth running of the nursery.
  • Reading, understanding, and adhering to all policies and procedures relevant to your role as deemed appropriate by the nursery manager.
  • Minimum of 6 hours per week spent on apprenticeship work and training.

WHO are Enchanted Nursery?

As a day nursery registered for 72 children, they are open from 7.30am to 6pm Monday to Friday, 51 weeks of the year closing at Christmas and on bank holidays. They have four base age rooms, an attic space, a full-time kitchen, a large main Over 2’s garden, a smaller Nature garden and a canopy garden for the Under 2’s age group. They also offer a sensory room and Extra Activities room.

WHAT will I get from working with Enchanted Nursery?

  • EARN: £8 per hour, 40 hours per week
  • EXPERIENCE- your hours: Monday to Friday shifts between 8am and 6pm.
  • QUALIFICATION: Early Years Educator Level 3 takes approximately 18 months.
