WHAT will I get from working with Church Pharmacy?

  • EARN: £8 per hour, 40 hours per week.
  • EXPERIENCE- your hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm.
  • QUALIFICATION: Administration Assistant Level 2 takes approximately 12 months.

WHAT will my DAY look like?

By joining the team as an Admin Assistant Apprentice, you will have a varied role and receive training in numerous areas of the business. You will be joining a supportive environment with thorough training as you settle into your role as an apprentice. They are looking for someone to grow with the business and hope to provide you with a long-term career! Your daily tasks will include:

  • Following the clinic admin checklists to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Ensuring all areas are safe and clean.
  • Updating the clinic TV adverts and promotional materials.
  • Fostering positive relationships with customers through engaging and welcoming interactions.
  • Enhancing the customer experience by suggesting additional products and services.
  • Collecting essential patient details and gathering valuable customer reviews.
  • Responding promptly and professionally to phone calls, emails, letters, website, and social media enquiries.
  • Creating invoices for customers and managing payments, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Recording and accounting for all cash or digital transactions within the system(s).
  • Maintaining an organised schedule of patient bookings.
  • Amending and scheduling patient appointments as needed.
  • Communicating appointments to the Clinical Services Manager and Pharmacist
  • Updating and maintaining records and databases efficiently.
  • Organising both digital and physical files for easy accessibility.
  • Monitoring and replenishing office supplies, including stationery, PPE & consent forms.
  • Monitoring and ensuring correct medicines and quantities are in stock for patient appointments.
  • Undertaking any additional tasks or responsibilities as requested.
  • Minimum of 6 hours per week spent on apprenticeship work and training.

HOW does the Apprenticeship work?

Working towards your Administration Assistant Level 2 Qualification, you’ll attend monthly 1-2-1 meetings (online via teams every month – NO classroom OR college!) with your tutor and learn about modules including business policies & procedures, communication & stakeholder engagement, digital systems & software, compliance, GDPR, health & safety, and more! You will be given a minimum of 3 hours per week to complete any apprenticeship work (assignments, research, and projects) and will receive at least another 3 hours of training from your employer. All apprenticeship work and training is completed in the workplace, during working hours.

WHAT skills/qualifications do I NEED?

  • Minimum GRADE 4/C in GCSE (or equivalent) Maths & English
  • UK Residency – must have lived in the UK for at least 3 years
  • Good communication skills and customer care.
  • Confident and outgoing.
  • Independence and initiative.
  • Attention to detail and organisation.

What happens next?
