Administrator & Social Media Apprentice @ A1 Home Care

Location: Navigation Road, Chelmsford, Essex, CM2 6ND

PLEASE NOTE: This position is for immediate start.

WHO are A1 Home Care?

A1 Home Care provides personalised, high-quality home care services to individuals of all ages throughout Chelmsford and surrounding areas. Their dedicated team delivers tailored support, ensuring comfort and independence in the safety of their client’s homes.

WHAT will I get from working with A1 Home Care?

  • EARN: £8 per hour, 30 hours per week
  • EXPERIENCE- your hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm.
  • QUALIFICATION: Business Admin Level 3 takes approximately 18 months.

WHAT will my DAY look like?

You will be providing co-ordination support in the main office to service users and staff along with monitoring and supplying content for the company’s various Social Media platforms, assisting with the marketing and promotion of the company. Your daily tasks will include:

  • Responding to telephone calls & emails quickly and efficiently.
  • Allocating calls to carers ensuring that the needs of the service users are met at all times.
  • Answering any queries/enquiries and dealing with problems/issues/concerns that may occur in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Ensuring all electronic systems/spreadsheets are kept up to date.
  • Ensuring that staff are equipped with any necessary equipment i.e., gloves, aprons and masks etc. as and when required and to make sure electronic stock levels are recorded and kept accurate.
  • Liaising with other health care professionals.
  • Supporting with a range of marketing activities.
  • Any other duties that may be required.
  • Minimum of 6 hours per week spent on apprenticeship work and training.

HOW does the Apprenticeship work?

Working towards your Business Admin Level 3 Qualification, you’ll attend monthly 1-2-1 meetings (online via teams every month – NO classroom OR college!) with your tutor and learn about modules including the organisation, stakeholders, relevant regulation, business fundamentals, processes & external factors. You will be given a minimum of 3 hours per week to complete any apprenticeship work (assignments, research, and projects) and will receive at least another 3 hours of training from your employer. All apprenticeship work and training is completed in the workplace, during working hours.

WHAT skills/qualifications do I NEED?

  • Minimum GRADE 4/C in GCSE (or equivalent) Maths & English
  • UK Residency – must have lived in the UK for at least 3 years
  • Excellent communication, problem solving & admin skills.
  • Analytical, initiative & creativity.
  • IT skills i.e., Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
  • Empathy, sensitivity & understanding when dealing with service users.
  • Organisational skills & the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
