Leicester based charity up-skill staff through apprenticeships

Case Study

CT Skills are pleased to be working alongside Leicester based charity, Zinthiya Trust as they have recently enrolled three of their employees onto an apprenticeship.

Established in 2009 by founder Zinthiya Ganeshpanchan, the Zinthiya Trust provides support to disadvantaged women and families who are suffering from poverty and/or domestic abuse. They do this by offering services such as money & debt advice, employment skills, domestic violence and homelessness support.
The growing charity currently employs over 15 members of staff with each of them working across a variety of areas within the business such as customer service, administration and housing support.
Zinthiya Ganeshpanchan commented;

“The charity is continuing to grow and with that I had always wanted to explore ways in which I could up-skill my fantastic employees, but the right opportunity never came up. I eventually came across CT Skills and spoke with Dharm who explained their apprenticeship offering and I immediately jumped at the opportunity to enrol three of my employees.”

CT Skills went through the apprenticeship process with Zinthiya and enrolled two employees on to the Level 2 Housing Management qualification and the other on to the Level 3 Team Leader/Supervisor apprenticeship.
Zinthiya continued;

“My employees have just begun their apprenticeship and have met with their tutor, Louise who has been a pleasure to work with. They are all enjoying the opportunity to learn whilst working and I can see it has already boosted their confidence so I would definitely consider an apprenticeship for my other employees.”

Gillian Coleman, Administrator and Housing Management Apprentice said;

“I am really looking forward to this new challenge in my life and it is exciting to be back in education. I love working at the Zinthiya Trust and I am thrilled that Zinthiya wants to expand my knowledge further with an apprenticeship.”

Shirin Ali, Administrator and Housing Management Apprentice concluded;

“The apprenticeship has been great, I know it is only the beginning but everyone at CT Skills has been very friendly and approachable. I do feel nervous about being in education again but I am looking forward to it long term.”
