Nursery Nurse Apprentice

• £6.40 per hour, 30 hours per week
• Monday to Friday shifts between 8:30 – 4:30
• 12 Upperton Road, Leicester, LE3 0BG
• You will be working towards Early Years Practitioner Level 2 which will take approximately 16 months.

Do you have an interest in working with young children? Do you have a flair for creativity and a passion
for teaching? If so, you may be interested in studying as an Early Years Practitioner.
So, what will your day to day look like?
• Planning and delivering activities with children aged 0-8.
• Carrying out care needs to children which may include teeth, skin, hair, feeding and toileting under
supervision
• Supporting children with their general development including interacting with other children
• Communicating with parents and carers of their child’s daily/ weekly progress
• Supervising children to ensure you are managing/ avoiding any risks
What skills/qualifications or personalities would be suited to this role?
• You must have a minimum of English/Maths GCSE 4/C to apply for this role and you must have lived in the
UK for a minimum of 3 years
• You must have Early Years Practitioner Level 2 or equivalent
• Suitable for school leavers who may have carried out babysitting duties or work experience in a nursery
setting
