Please note as a school we are open for 39 weeks of the year so you will receive equated pay.

WHAT are the HOURS?

7.30-3pm OR 8.30-4pm

(maybe occasional days where we need additional cover at Afterschool club until 5.15pm)

What Qualification will I GAIN?

Early Years Educator Level 3

How LONG will it TAKE me?

18 months

HOW does the Apprenticeship work?

·         WORK Full Time, PAID Full Time

·         1-2-1 Monthly Sessions (via Teams) with your dedicated Tutor – NO college!

·         6 hours a week Apprenticeship Study Time, to focus on:

o   Assignments, training & development activities

o   Hours are agreed with your manager, either split across the week, or on a set day

·         Regular PROGRESS Reviews with your Tutor & Manager – you will ALWAYS know how you are doing

·         Final Assessment(s) inc. multiple choice tests, projects & presentations –  with full support from CT Skills!

WHAT’S in it for ME?

You will be joining a purpose-built nursery school for 2–4-year-old children that offers high quality early education. This is the perfect opportunity for you to kick start your career in the childcare sector! This position will allow you to support children and be a role model whilst gaining your Level 3 qualification!

DAY to DAY, you will….

·         Support children on a one-to-one basis, in small groups or as part of a full class.

·         Get creative in helping children to achieve their developmental steps.

·         Assist with breakfast/lunchtime/after school clubs.

·         Help with assessments and inputting of data.

·         Change children as required and after training.

·         Administer basic first aid after training.

·         Assist in planning and creating inspiring learning environments.

·         Prepare simple, healthy snacks.

·         Develop over time into a key person role.

·         Work inside and outside.

·         Set up and tidy areas and resources.

·         Contribute to planning and assessment.

·         Any other duties which are relevant to the smooth running of the nursery as directed by the Head Teacher or members of staff.

·         Lead activities and stories.

WHAT Skills do I NEED?

Apprenticeships are very demanding; you’re working towards a qualification whilst working full time! You’ll need to be committed and motivated as there is lots of self-guided work involved. PLUS, you need GOOD ….

·         Communication

·         Team working

·         Organisation

·         Creativity

·         Problem solving

·         Non-judgemental

·         Presentation

·         Patience

·         Physical fitness


·         GCSE or equivalent English and Maths grade 4/C or above

·         UK Residency (MUST have lived in the UK for 3 years+)

·         Early Years Practitioner Level 2 qualification or equivalent (preferred)

What AFTER the Apprenticeship?
