Apprenticeship Qualification:  Business Admin Level 3

Apprenticeship Duration:          18 months


How does the Apprenticeship work?


As an Apprentice, you will be employed, just like anyone else at the company, the difference is that you will be studying towards a qualification.


You’ll spend a minimum of 6 hours a week (of your total working hours) in a number of different Training, Learning & Development Activities that all develop your Knowledge, Skills & Behaviours in line with your Apprenticeship Qualification. These will include (for example) staff meetings, online courses, shadowing other team members, as well as a monthly online (via MS Teams) study workshop, basically a lesson, with your Tutor, lasting between 2 and 3 hours, during which you will be taught a particular subject / topic / module which include:


·         Personal Development

·         Role Fundamentals

·         The Organisation & Policies

·         Stakeholders

·         Legislation & Regulation

·         Business Fundamentals and Processes


Any work that you are set within this session is then expected to be complete for the next month’s session. You will be given time each week to do this within your working day/week – so no homework!! This will all prepare you for your End Point Assessment (EPA) once you have completed all the learning required.  As CT Skills is a training provider, all our vacancies are for immediate starts so please consider this when you are applying.

Wednesday and Thursday 8:30 am – 5:00 pm

Friday 8:30 am – 4:00 pm

Saturday (4 hours shift, alternates)


Weekly Hours:

40 hours

Hourly Rate:

National Apprenticeship Rate for 1st 12 months: £5.28 with progressive pay rise after 12 and 32 weeks.
Increasing to NMW for age after 12 months.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work for The Dutton Group, specifically Dutton FM undertaking varied duties.  You will be working with a small hardworking and friendly team.

The role will include various administration duties with the aim of developing and having more responsibility during your apprenticeship.


And Day to Day? …. You will be Responsible for:

·         Administration tasks.

·         Booking in appointments.

·         Answering the telephone and e-mail queries.

·         Administering minor works.

·         Administering routine maintenance contracts & various H&S reports across the portfolio.

·         Answering the telephone in a professional manner and dealing with enquiries.

·         Inputting data onto internal systems with a high level of accuracy.

·         General administrative duties include typing correspondence by e-mail and letter.

  • To undertake filing, faxing, record keeping, photocopying and distribution of relevant documents.
  • Support to members of the Management Team.
  • Using Microsoft Packages, in particular Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • To deal courteously and efficiently with all visitors.
  • Responsible for coordinating the post.
  • Providing refreshments for visitors when required.
  • Dealing with stationery/stock levels and reordering as and when appropriate.
  • Assisting all members of the team as and when required.
  • Dealing with requests for information.
  • Ensuring that the Policies of the company are observed, and that good practice is encouraged, particularly in the areas of Health & Safety, Equal Opportunities, and confidentiality.
