We are looking for someone to manage reception, administration and the office building at our Derby headquarters so that project teams can concentrate solely on fee earning work. This position is suitable for conscientious, self-motivated, organised individual with good communication skills who is committed to providing excellent customer service.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Arrange meetings
  • Follow up
  • Project / Compliance management
  • Set up files
  • Set up document templates
  • Type log notes written by staff
  • Print reports
  • Order documents/maps
  • Enter expenses
  • Collect drawings/documents from printers
  • Document control: organizing / filing scanned incoming mail
  • Maintain project / statutory registers / forms

Financial Duties:

  • Chasing debtors
  • Receive cheques, visit bank to pay in
  • Data input to online software
  • Archiving/ reports
  • Monitor staff expenses
  • Monitor project expenses
  • Print reports for director where require
  • Health & Safety
  • Health and Safety file
  • Fire Assessments
  • First Aid

Skills Required:

  • Good keyboard skills
  • Good communication skills
  • To be able to work effectively under pressure
  • Confident telephone manner
  • Good organisational skills

Desired Qualifications:

Ideally A* - C in Maths and English or equivalent

Training and Qualifications Delivered:

Level 3 Business Administration Standard

Level 2 Functional Skills English (If required)

Level 2 Functions Skills Maths (If required)

Working Week and Salary:

Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm

Total hours per week: 37.5

Hourly Wage: £4.50, going up to £5 after 3 months

Weekly Wage: £168.75
