Vacancy Description:

The Marketing Assistant is part of the Van Elle Marketing team, which works closely with the Business Development and Divisional Operation Teams.

The Marketing Assistant needs to be knowledgeable about Van Elle’s value proposition, the Ground Engineering services and products the Van Elle Group offer.

Reporting to the Group Marketing Manager, the role will support the execution of all aspects of the marketing plan for the Group, including literature, social media updates and event planning.

Van Elle are looking for a creative individual with excellent IT skills and will demonstrate a passion for marketing.

The successful candidate will be an outstanding communicator across all mediums and possess exceptional English language skills.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Support the Group Marketing Manager in generating good news stories, press releases and stakeholder communications
  • Edit, gather and write content to be uploaded through WordPress and other platforms onto the group portfolio of websites, predominantly the Group and STRATA websites
  • Write, edit and research articles to be utilised as part of case studies, social updates and  e-communications
  • Work with the Group Marketing Manager  to provide support on Social Media management (Organic & Paid) for all our divisions
  • Organise, develop and produce appropriate content related assets for digital (and print) use including short videos, photography, infographics
  • Provide assistance to the Group Marketing Manager in creating compelling campaigns; monitoring performance and working on creative inventive copy for e-communications using platforms such as MailChimp
  • Support the Group Marketing Manager in developing, implementing and tracking search marketing campaigns to promote Van Elle products and services and brand awareness; utilising Google Analytics, Google AdWords and the Google Search Console.
  • Contribute to the campaign creative process and innovative digital ideas
  • Create and develop digital, and print ready, collateral and material to help promote the brand and communication process.
  • Undertake research and analysis, utilizing online monitoring platforms, to track brand conversations, awareness and exposure of the groups’ brands.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

Ideally A* - C in Maths and English or equivalent

A full UK Driving licence is essential as the role will include regular business travel.

Training and Qualifications Delivered:

Level 3 Digital Marketing Standard

Level 1 or 2 Functional Skills English (If required)

Level 1 or 2 Functions Skills Maths (If required)

Level 1 or 2 Functional Skills ICT (If required)

Working Week and Salary:

Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm

Total hours per week: 37.5

Wage per hour - £6.50

Weekly wage - £243.75

Yearly wage - £12,000

Future Prospects:

This is an apprenticeship position with the opportunity of progression if you prove to be a valuable member of the team. Opportunity for pay increments based on performance indicators during the apprentices
