Location: Fleet Office – Linea, Harvest Crescent, Fleet, Hampshire GU51 2UZ

Working Hours: 9am to 5pm (with 1 hour for lunch)

Rate of Pay: £18,525

Job Summary:

The Business Administrative Assistant will support the Business Services Manager and the UK Senior Leadership Team (SLT) with the co-ordination and administration tasks as requested.  The primary function is to support with all administration tasks and to be included on some large internal projects including sustainability. You will also have the opportunity to support the co-ordination of client events and any other mutually agreed administrative tasks to support the business.  You will provide an efficient and streamlined service to the business with regards to all tasks undertaken.

Duties & Responsibilities include:

  • Working with the Business Services Team to ensure that all BCD Offices are maintained and serviced to a high level
  • Providing admin support including reporting, data entry and meetings/diary management
  • Developing, implementing and maintaining processes
  • Provide project management and administrative support to the UK Senior Leadership Team to ensure that all actions in connection to the UK Sustainability plan are completed in a timely manner

This also includes:

  • Taking minutes from meetings
  • Recording all agreed actions and timelines
  • Keeping the project in track
  • Organising and liaising with couriers for delivery & collections from multiple office locations
  • Responding to the Business Services enquiries inbox
  • Using IT systems to draft letters, emails, reports and maintain records

You will need to be ABLE to/HAVE:

  • Prioritise your workload
  • Understand the structure of the organisation; the service we deliver, how we sit within the meetings & industry sector
  • Awareness and understanding of BCD M&E company values
  • Awareness and understanding of our company policies and procedures
  • Develop and maintain relationships within all areas of the business
  • Keep abreast of industry trends – provide updates across the business

As well as:

  • Deliver excellent customer service – both with an internal and external focus
  • Project Management skills
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Self-starter, ability to work in isolation on assigned tasks and as part of Sales team
  • Adaptable to change and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Willing to travel to other BCD locations and networking events within the UK


  • English and Math’s GCSE or equivalent qualification (Grade C or above)
  • Previous experience in a customer service or business administration environment is advantageous, but not essential
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software is advantageous
