It all started in 1849 when a small group of Nottingham businessmen, led by local Quaker Samuel Fox, set up the Nottingham Building Society. Our first ever branch opened on George Street, Nottingham.  It used to open between 6pm and 9pm on the first Tuesday of each month. The vision of our founder was to help people own their own home, as well as offer them a safe and secure place for their savings.

Vacancy Description:

To deliver a business focussed service; provide an effective, timely and legally compliant HR administration service in line with the People Strategy Objectives, service standards and Policies and Procedures.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Pre-employment vetting outcomes are reviewed by the jobholder, who decides if they meet required standards and escalates where standards are not met
  • Responsible for ensuring policy and process is adhered to. Where process is not followed then the post holder will work to resolve the matter before escalating
  •  Administer the New Starter process, producing offers of employment; conducting the pre-employment vetting process and ensuring all pre-employment requirements are met before a candidate commences employment
  • Administer employee changes and leavers ensuring information is accurately communicated and the appropriate systems actions are taken in a timely manner
  • Maintain accurate employee information on the HR information systems and to ensure the integrity of payroll and employee information, working in a systematic way
  • Deliver management information in line with business requirements
  • Respond to manager and employee queries in a timely manner always seeking to improve ways of working to deliver the best service, time focused for the internal and external customer
  • Provide support to the People & Development team during area projects and change management programmes

Desired Qualifications:

GCSE Grade C or above in Maths and English or equivalent

Training and Qualifications delivered:

Level 3 Advanced HR Support Apprenticeship

Level 1 or 2 Functional Skills English (If required)

Level 1 or 2 Functional Skills Maths (If required)

Working week and salary:

Working days: Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm

Working Hours - 35 p/w

Hourly Wage: £6.50

Weekly Wage: £230

Yearly Wage: £12,000
