About The Employer:    

Working as part of a team to provide a high standard of care and education, in line with Ofsted requirements, to children attending the nursery. To provide care for children, by ensuring they feel special and are well looked after, in a happy stimulating environment, which is safe and secure.

At Castle Lane Day nursery, all staff are qualified first aiders, and this is updated every 2 years. All staff have completed their safeguarding qualification and on-going training is provided to everyone, to ensure that their knowledge stays fresh.

The staff at Castle Lane are committed to ensuring that your child develops in a safe and stimulating environment. Staff are all level 2 qualified and above.

All staff are supported to progress onto the next level with training and we currently have a number of staff who are completing both their level 3 qualification and level 4 management qualification. We currently employ 2 staff holding a degree in early childhood and a member of staff who has completed her Early Years Teacher Status.

The staff team are an enthusiastic and dedicated team, who will support both child and parent to reach their full potential. Staff receive regular training opportunities to widen and develop their knowledge in child development.

And Day to Day?

You’ll provide a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for all children, ensuring that all children are safeguarded, and their welfare and safety is promoted; give support to other team members throughout the nursery, and to work as part of a team in order to provide an enabling environment in which all individual children can play, learn and develop.

Having a sound understanding of a child’s developmental needs, you’ll ensure that these are met, through.

  • Assisting with planning and implementing a wide range of activities that will encourage the child’s all-round development, in a group and individual basis
  • Following planned activities and routines
  • Maintaining high standards of hygiene and encouraging children to do the same
  • Ensuring children are always given the highest level of care
  • Ensuring that the unit is run in line with the company’s Health & Safety Policy at all times
  • Pro-actively involving children in group sessions
  • Maintaining good two-way relationships with parents; giving verbal feedback, encouraging parental involvement, maintain a positive attitude
