About The Employer:            

Webro is a cable and connectivity distributor, formed in 1980. Our copper and fibre cables have a wide range of

applications including TV & satellite, broadband, security, and railways. We buy mainly from the Far East and

Europe, and sell to customers all over the world. Our warehouse and offices are based in Long Eaton, and we

have a focused, friendly, and supportive team.

About the Role:          

Webro has an exciting opportunity for an individual to join the business as an Accounts Assistant Apprentice, to gain invaluable experience in basic finance skills. This is a diverse role with lots of potential scope within the role.

And Day to Day?… You will BE:

  • Supporting our two other accounts assistants and head of finance
  • Gradually taking on tasks including:
    • Import/export processing
    • Banking
    • Credit control
    • Sales and purchase ledger
    • Credit limits and insurance
    • Spreadsheet reports
  • Assisting in the start-up of our new customs warehouse

You’ll need to HAVE:

  • Excel experience; training courses are available, but basic functions and a keen interest to learn are ESSENTIAL
  • Basic bookkeeping understanding such as double entry and assets/liabilities/expenses/income are PREFERRED
  • Ideally experience of working in an office, preferably in accounts
  • Good Attention to detail; we are heavily reliant on accurate cross referencing and record keeping

And BE:

  • Quick and enthusiastic learner
  • Good communicator; both spoken and written
  • Able to work under pressure at times and deliver results to a defined deadline
  • Able to work as a team as well as motivating yourself when working alone


  • GCSE – English and Maths (Grade C or above)
