About Employer:

MPQC is a not for profit organisation and is looking for a versatile Apprentice to join their offices based in Eastwood. The successful applicant will support the MPQC team with their ongoing work in the quarrying, mineral products, and mining sector.

Vacancy Description:

The Apprentice will gain general knowledge and skills in an administration environment, as well as role-specific responsibilities.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Support visitors accessing MPQC’s security codes
  • Telephone responsibilities
  • Develop working relationships within the industry
  • Arrange site visits for the Sales Team
  • Support the MP Skills Sales Team
  • Develop and maintain contact lists
  • Identify marketing opportunities
  • Establish an excellent knowledge of the quarrying, mineral products, and mining sector
  • Support MPQC events
  • Contribute to the overall financial targets of the Sales Team.
  • Contribute to maintaining and increasing MPQC memberships

Desired qualifications and experience:

GCSE’s to include English and Maths at Grade  A* - C/4-9 or equivalent

Training and  Qualifications Given:

Level 2 Business Administration

Level 1 or 2 Functional Skills English (If required)

Level 1 or 2 Functions Skills Maths (If required)

Level 1 or 2 Functions Skills ICT (if required)

Working Week and Salary:

Monday - Friday between the hours of 8.30am - 5pm

Total hours per week: 37.5

Hourly Wage: £4.10

Weekly Wage: £157.75

*With the intention to increase the wage following the successful completion of the Apprentices 3-month probationary period.*

Future Prospects:

The successful candidate may have the opportunity to secure a permanent position and progress further within the business.
