Supermarket giant Morrisons are searching for motivated individuals to work in their warehouses.

The roles available are Warehouse Key Operative & FLT Drivers, Production Role Operatives, CELOX Operatives and Machine Operatives.

Warehouse & FLT Driver:

The summary of this role is “completing inventory, software and warehouse functions to ensure all deliveries are receipted in and out and products are in the right location to ensure our deliveries are distributed in full and on time to our customers.”

This role includes tasks such as:

-Use trained skills to complete all tasks assigned by a member of the management team and ensure that quality, food safe products are delivered on time to our customers
-Operational task including picking, loading and unloading of products
-Use trained skills to support with moving and manage stock using a forklift truck if required
-Use of software to transact and inventory to manage our products
-Complete safe and legal checks
-Perform administrative tasks to ensure all deliveries internal and external are booked in and out
-Schedule daily collections
-Maintain communication and good relationships between manufacturing and logistics
-Follow good manufacturing practices to ensure the working area is kept clean and tidy at all times
-Complete tasks as efficiently as possible in order to reduce waste, reporting all issues to a member of the management team
-Handle the package products in accordance with all relevant food safety standards
-Comply with company policy including safe working practices, Health and Safety, security, hygiene standards and cleaning schedules
-Work flexibly to support all areas of the business where required to ensure service levels are met

Ideal candidates will have the ability to work in a fast paced, physical manufacturing environment, be flexible and adaptable, as well as being able to work in a team.

Production Role Operative:

The summary of this role is “Working within the Production team to produce high quality products in a safe, efficient, and hygienic environment in order to deliver quality products to our customers.”

This role includes:

– Use trained skills to complete all tasks assigned by a member of the management team to ensure that quality products are produced for customers
– Operational tasks including packing, splitting, chopping, weighing, movement of goods and product using material handling equipment (MHE)
– Complete all tasks efficiently in order to reduce waste, reporting all issues to a member of the management team
– Handle and package products in accordance with all relevant food safety standards
– Comply with Company policy including Health and Safety, Security, Hygiene standards and cleaning schedules
– Work flexibly to support all areas of the business where required to ensure service levels are met

The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast paced environment whilst producing quality products for customers. Candidates must have the ability to maintain concentration throughout the shifts where tasks are repetitive, and be able to work in a variety of temperatures (8 degrees and below).

CELOX Operative:

The summary for this role is “Working with product specification in order to meet finished product standards and allow the site to produce high quality products in a safe and efficient environment to deliver quality products to our customers.”

This role includes:

– Use trained skills to complete all tasks assigned by a member of the management team and ensure that quality products are produced for customers
– Complete basic engineering tasks such as fault finding, maintenance of equipment, and development of optimum settings
– Continuously assess products and product batches, identifying the most quality and cost effective approach for processing each load whilst ensuring that efficiency targets are met
– Monitor and report on operational outputs such as waste and yield, making machine and product changes to meet operational requirements
– Use and analyse data to make decisions about machine operation
– Plan daily activity and processes in line with operational requirements and batch delivery
– Daily responsibility of operating key value generating equipment
– Make operational changes to increase yield and provide raw materials at the right level to meet final pack specification whilst minimising waste and maximising load value, considering factors such as line balancing, cost, and waste
– Build relationships with key stakeholder such as Raw Material Buyers and Managers, Central Planners, and Product Experts, Site Senior Team, Engineering Team, Shift Manager, Technical Team, Hygiene Team, and the Production Team driving communication between departments
– Understand the needs of the internal and external customers including third party, to support and provide guidance to the Production Team in line with customer needs
– Share knowledge and expertise with other colleagues to support product and quality related decisions
– Understand the seasonal changes of product and the field to fork process
– Complete daily activities to achieve plan and Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
– Ensure equipment and area are in good working condition and clean
– Adhere to specifications and escalate breaches or concerns where appropriate
– Generate available and efficient wash plans, ensuring production targets are met whilst minimising changeovers and maximising efficiency
– Maintain Oracle system compliance to ensure no negative impact on profit and loss
– Update and maintain growers’ performance database daily
– Work flexibly to support all areas of the business where required to ensure service levels are met

The ideal candidates will have excellent communication skills, be an agile thinker, have the ability to problem solve and deliver high standards, have intermediate Microsoft Office/Google and analytical skills and have experience of working in a fast paced manufacturing/processing environment.

Machine Key Operative:

The summary of this role is “Working within the Production team to maintain the machines to ensure quality products in a safe, efficient, and hygienic environment in order to deliver quality products to our customers.”

This role includes:

– Use trained skills to complete all tasks assigned by a member of the management team and ensure that quality products are produced for customers
– Use trained skills to physically build up machines on multiple production lines
– Conduct system set up and calibration
– Complete safe and legal paperwork and checks, monitor machines throughout the day to ensure efficient running
– Follow good manufacturing practices to ensure the working area is kept clean and tidy at all times
– Complete tasks as efficiently as possible in order to reduce waste and downtime and maximise overall equipment effectiveness and reduce giveaway, reporting all issues to a member of the management team
– Handle and package products in accordance with all relevant Food Safety standards
– Comply with company policy including Health and Safety, Security, Hygiene standards and cleaning schedules, product specifications
– Work in a flexible and friendly way with colleagues and the management team, sharing knowledge and experience, speaking up where there are issues, helping to remove barriers creating moments that matter for your colleagues and making the site a place everyone can enjoy working in
– Work flexibly to support all areas of the business where required to ensure service levels are met

The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast paced environment producing quality, food safe products for customers, have flexibility adaptability, teamwork and the ability to work under pressure.


 

The shift patterns for these roles are 6am-2pm or 2pm-10pm.

There is public transport available to the sites.
