Travelodge are searching for: Multi skilled Team Members, Bar/Café Team Members, Night Team members, Reception staff and Housekeeping staff.

 

Team Member – Housekeeping

As a member of our housekeeping team you will be cleaning rooms and setting them up to meet our brand standards. Travelodge prides itself on clean and fresh rooms and you will play a central role in helping to maintain these high standards so that our guests can enjoy a spotless room

What you will be doing

●     Cleaning rooms, making beds and cleaning bathrooms. Following a step by step approach to make sure every room is setup to brand standards

●     Listening and acting on feedback from your manager

●     Sharing great cleaning practices with your colleagues to support each other’s learning

●     Attending daily team huddles and contributing to group discussions

●     Reporting any room damage or breakages to your supervisor at huddle meetings so that rooms can be repaired

●     Keeping public areas clean and tidy

●     Keeping linen rooms clean, tidy and organised

●     Reporting early if cleaning equipment and stock is running low

●     Learning and following procedures for linen, security, keys, lost property and stock

●     Keeping yourself, the team and our customers’ safe – following appropriate health and safety procedures

●     Meeting productivity targets as agreed with your manager so that we can have all rooms ready for check in time

●     Working as part of a team, helping others out when required


 

Team Member – Reception and Bar Café

 As a member of our hotel team, you will be making sure every customer who stays with us has a great experience from the moment they arrive, to when they leave.

What you will be doing

●     Delivering a great customer experience at every stage of our customer journey

●     Welcoming our customers to the hotel – checking them in and allocating the right rooms

●     Listening to customers, managing any requests or issues with genuine warmth and interest

●     Working together with your colleagues to make sure you deliver consistently great service and helping each other

●     Learning about what is happening in your hotel and the local area and sharing this with the rest of the team and customers

●     Keeping your team and customer safe by following health and safety procedures, including regular fire and safety walks

●     Keep your line manager up to date with any problems and follow up where necessary

●     Helping with cleaning rooms or supporting other colleagues where necessary

●     Follow cash and banking procedures

●     Preparing food and drinks, taking care that every meal is served to brand standards

●     Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen area

●     Carry out stock rotation procedures

●     Promote the food and drinks offering to customers from our bar-café menu and up sell products for each order

●     Pre-empt problems before they arise and resolve promptly when they do


 

Team Member – Reception

As a member of our hotel team, you will be making sure every customer who stays with us has a great experience from the moment they arrive, to when they leave.

What you will be doing

Team Member – Nights

As a member of our hotel team, you will be making sure every customer who stays with us has a great experience from the moment they arrive, to when they leave.

What you will be doing

●     Delivering a great customer experience at every stage of our customer journey

●     Welcoming our late customers to the hotel – checking them in and allocating the right rooms

●     Listening to customers, managing any requests or issues with genuine warmth and interest

●     Working together with your colleagues to make sure you deliver consistently great service – writing a clear handover for the next shift

●     Keeping your team and customer safe by following health and safety procedures, including regular fire and safety walks during each shift

●     Keep your line manager up to date with any problems and follow up where necessary

●     Supporting with cleaning rooms or supporting other colleagues where necessary

●     Follow cash and banking procedures

●     Set up housekeeping trolleys ready for the next shift to brand standards

●     Set up breakfast items to brand standards, ready for the morning shift

●     Serve and cook food as appropriate (bar café only, or where snacks available)

●     Patrol the hotel at regular intervals, ensuring guests have a good night’s sleep and internal noise is kept to a minimum

●     Set up the hotel, ready for the next day’s trade

●     Pre-empt problems before they arise and resolve promptly when they do

What we’ll expect from you

To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate a genuine passion for customer service and be comfortable working on your own. You will be confident dealing with difficult situations that may arise during the night shift and able to make decisions about when to escalate. You will need a good understanding of the English language and be able to understand and communicate clearly with your colleagues and customers.
