Leading global hospitality company Hilton are searching for aspiring, motivated individuals to fill a variety of hospitality roles.

The roles available are Kitchen Porter – Support Chefs, Housekeeping Attendant, Food and Beverage Assistants and Painter and Decorator.

Housekeeping Attendant

A Floor Housekeeper is responsible for supervising room attendants to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience while monitoring housekeeping standards and assisting the Head Housekeeper.

What will I be doing?

As a Floor Housekeeper, you are responsible for supervising room attendants to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience. A Floor Housekeeper will also be required to assist the head housekeeper and monitor standards. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Supervise Room Attendants
  • Daily allocation of rooms and deep cleaning tasks to team members
  • Manage guest requests, including VIP amenities and communicating them to the relevant team members
  • Routine inspection of guest bedrooms to ensure they meet standards
  • Aware of all room categories and amenities
  • Achieve positive outcomes from guest queries in a timely and efficient manner
  • Carry out lost property procedures
  • Ensure guest laundry is cleaned and delivered in a timely manner
  • Report maintenance issues to Maintenance/Engineering Department
  • Assist Head Housekeeper with training requirements
  • Represent the needs of the team to others in the hotel
  • Be environmentally aware
  • Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation
  • Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships

The Big Stuff

  • Our Kitchen Assistants ensure all back of house areas are kept clean, and observe COSHH and health and safety guidelines.
  • As an integral part of the kitchen team, our Kitchen Assistants contribute to the overall safety & security performance scorecard.

    • To ensure working environment is in accordance with hygiene regulations and company standards
    • Ensure proper storage of food and stock rotation
    • To ensure compliance with all kitchen safety requirements
    • To ensure the correct PPE is in place and guidelines are adhered to
    • To observe COSHH guidelines when handling hazardous substances
    • To Report any maintenance and, or, hazard issues to the supervisor on duty
    • Carry out general cleaning as directed by kitchen manager

    What are we looking for? (Essential Experience/ Qualifications)

    • Previous kitchen assistant
    • The ability to adapt and make changes quickly ensuring the highest standards are retained.
    • Relevant food preparation qualification – Hospitality & Catering – Level 1(or equivalent )
    • Qualification in food safety and a track record in managing all aspects of kitchen safety

    Preferred Experience/ Qualifications:

    • Experience in a quality production style / branded environment
    • Evidence of ability to lead change with new technologies and ways of working
    • Basic Food Safety Qualification (or equivalent)

The hourly wage for this role is £8.91 per hour plus service charge (% taken through checks).


 

Food and Beverage Assistant

A Food and Beverage Assistant is responsible for working in all areas of Food and Beverage as needed to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience while working to achieve departmental targets.

What will I be doing?

As a Food and Beverage Assistant, you are responsible for working in all areas of Food and Beverage as needed to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience. A Food and Beverage Assistant will also be required to take and deliver customer orders and work to achieve departmental targets. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Able to work in all areas of Food and Beverage including Bar, Restaurant, Room Service and Conference and Events
  • Welcome guests in a polite and friendly manner
  • Take and deliver customer orders, consistently demonstrating high levels of customer service
  • Prepare set ups for tables and/or rooms
  • Follow cash handling procedures
  • Manage guest queries in a timely and efficient manner
  • Up-sell with latest departmental incentives
  • Ensure compliance of brand standards
  • Strive to achieve departmental targets
  • Ensure cleanliness of work areas
  • Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation
  • Comply with local licensing laws
  • Be environmentally aware
  • Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships
