FRONT OFFICE HOST (reporting to GOM or alternatively to FO TL)
Position Purpose
To be a passionate host and highly collaborative member of the guest operations team who delivers brand-specific customer experiences, mainly in FO but also in F&B.

Duties & Key Responsibilities
Being a Great Team Member
• Come to work every day with a big smile on your face 😊
• Be a reliable and motivated member of the guest operations team
• Communicate clearly and constructively with other team members to help deliver great guest experiences at our hotel.
• Be a role model for others by demonstrating brand-unique, passionate, friendly brand-specific guest service at all times
• Always deliver ‘fair share’ in team tasks and support colleagues whose workload may temporarily be heavy, this includes helping out in housekeeping, F&B service and stewarding
• Show interest in learning new skills and acquire new knowledge every day
• Provide constructive suggestions/feedback to your Line Manager on products, processes and procedures to contribute to our continuous improvement efforts
• Be aware of planned team meetings and learning sessions and attend as required
• Participate positively in pre and post shift briefs and hotel team huddles and apply learning the next day
• Volunteer to participate in company campaigns like Travel with Purpose or TM committees
• Execute duties as assigned by the Guest Operations Manager, FO Team Leader and Supervisors

Front Office Specifics
• Organise the ‘work area’ to be able to deliver brand-specific customer service from welcome to good-bye
• Deliver exceptional customer service in all shifts (early, late, night) and enrol Hilton Honors members
• Demonstrate an awareness of guest priorities, anticipate needs, build rapport and resolve guest problems very quickly
• Close guest transactions on FO effectively, solicit feedback, and deliver a memorable goodbye (checkout)
• Stay up-to-date in terms of received Guest Feedback (SALT, Social Media)
• Regularly attend mandatory F&B service trainings to be ready to work shifts in F&B service
• Duties of a FO Host when scheduled to work in F&B can include the order-taking, delivery of any food and/or beverage items, and clearing of tables

 

FOOD & BEVERAGE HOST (reporting to F&B Team Leader or alternatively GOM)
Position Purpose
To a) be a passionate brightearted host and highly collaborative member of the guest operations team and b) maximise customer spend whilst delivering exceptional brand-specific experiences, mainly in F&B but also in other areas of the hotel.

Duties & Key Responsibilities

• Be a reliable and motivated member of the guest operations team
• Communicate clearly and constructively with other team members to help deliver great guest experiences in all areas of your hotel.
• Be a role model for others by demonstrating passionate, friendly brand-specific guest service at all times
• Always deliver ‘fair share’ in team tasks and support colleagues whose workload may temporarily be heavy, this includes helping out in stewarding, housekeeping and FO
• Provide constructive suggestions/feedback to your Line Manager on products, processes and procedures to contribute to our continuous improvement efforts
• Be aware of planned team meetings and learning sessions and attend as required

• Be open to acquiring new knowledge and skills in areas such as kitchen, HSK or FO to be able to provide support to these departments where required, and at the same time improve chances of a faster career progression
F&B Specifics
• Organise your assigned ‘work area’ to be able to deliver the pre-service and service tasks effectively & efficiently, in line with our quality and service standards
• Constantly maintain your work area clean and tidy
• Take time to be a great host, engage in small conversations, actively ask guests you are serving for their feedback. Immediately take actions to make it right where required
• Constantly look for areas of improvement when taking orders and delivering food to guests to further improve guest experience in all our F&B outlets
• Understand the specifications of the dishes we sell, their price, and the processes designed to present them to our customer in our F&B outlets
• Actively upsell our products and provide advice to guests on food recommendations and beverage pairing
• After 6 months being in the role, decide whether the scope of your role should be extended to Front Office duties & responsibilities. If the decision is pro extending the scope of the role, participate in all respective trainings and complete all assigned e-learning courses within the set deadlines

CHEF (reporting to Food Operations Manager – Head Chef)
Position Purpose
To be a passionate brighthearted host and a highly collaborative member of the Food Operations Team, delivering safe, high quality food products that fully meet specified standards and minimise waste.

Duties & Key Responsibilities
Being a Great Team Member

• Be a reliable and motivated member of the Food Operations team
• Communicate clearly and constructively with other team members to help deliver great guest experiences at our hotel
• Be a role model for others by demonstrating passionate, friendly brand-specific guest service at all times
• Always deliver ‘fair share’ in team tasks and support colleagues whose workload may temporarily be heavy, this includes helping out in stewarding and F&B service
• Provide constructive suggestions/feedback to your Line Manager on products, processes and procedures to contribute to our continuous improvement efforts
• Be aware of planned team meetings and learning sessions and attend as required
• Commit to learning something new every day
• Volunteer to participate in company campaigns like Travel with Purpose or Team Member committees
• Execute any duties as assigned by the Chief Host, Head Chef or Chef de Partie in charge

Chef Specifics
• Organise the ‘work area’ to be able to deliver the pre-service and service tasks effectively & efficiently, to the required standard, and in line with HACCP standards
• Constantly maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of your assigned work area
• Understand the specifications of the dishes we sell, their price, and the processes designed to present them to our customer
• Ensure that all is ‘en place’ in sufficient time and that the work area contributes consistently to a highly effective service session
• Prepare efficiently and consistently hot and cold food menu items of impeccable standard during the assigned shift
• Visually check food quality and food presentation as instructed by the Line Managers
• Every day, personally deliver a few of the prepared orders to guests in the restaurant, introduce yourself as the chef who produced their dish and wishing them bon appetit. Check after a few minutes with the guests how they liked it and actively ask for feedback.
KITCHEN ASSISTANT (reporting to Food Operations Manager)
Position Purpose
To be a passionate host and a highly collaborative Food Operations team member who a) assists in preparing safe, high quality food products that fully meet specified standards whilst minimising waste, and b) cleans and stores cooking utensils and service ware so that team members have the appropriate equipment to provide excellent brand-specific guest experiences in our F&B outlets.

Duties & Key Responsibilities

• Be a reliable and motivated member of the Food Operations team
• Communicate clearly and constructively with other team members to help deliver great guest experiences at our hotel
• Be a role model for others by demonstrating passionate, friendly brand-specific guest service at all times
• Always deliver ‘fair share’ in team tasks and support colleagues whose workload may temporarily be heavy, this includes helping out in areas outside Kitchen / Stewarding
• Provide constructive suggestions/feedback to your Line Manager on products, processes and procedures to contribute to our continuous improvement efforts
• Be aware of planned team meetings and learning sessions and attend as required
• Volunteer to participate in company campaigns like Travel with Purpose or Team Member committees
• Execute any duties as assigned by the Food Operations Leadership team and the Chief Host

Kitchen Specifics
• Organise assigned kitchen work areas to be able to deliver pre-service and service tasks effectively & efficiently, to the required standard, and in line with HACCP standards
• Constantly maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of assigned work areas in kitchen, stewarding, and waste disposal areas
• Understand specifications of dishes (mainly breakfast) that we sell
• Be an eager learner who wants to improve food preparation skills and culinary knowledge
• Assist with food and meal production (mainly during breakfast service) as instructed by the Food Operations Leadership team
• Clean the food preparation equipment, floors and other kitchen tools with care and attention to detail
• Wash utensils, cutlery & crockery carefully and efficiently and make sure they are stored appropriately
• Dispose of rubbish and waste correctly, recycling as much as possible
