During your short time with CT Skills you will develop a broad skill-set that will enable you to secure an industry qualification as well as insight and knowledge in to partnered vacancy and employer requirements.

The role: Rail Gourmet are currently recruiting for full time on board hosts to work out of Derby Train station, providing an at seat trolley service to customers travelling on the East Midlands Railways network.

Duties include providing excellent customer service, cash handling, managing stock, working on own initiative and to sales targets. Candidates must be physically fit. Working hours are 37.5 hours a week. Earliest start could be 3am and latest finish 2:30am.

The hourly wage is £7.70 for under 25’s and £8.21 for over 25’s. Benefits include 28 days holiday, automatic pension enrolment, an SSP discount card, discounted parking, 4 complimentary train tickets each year and more. Uniform provided. Previous experience in sales, retail or a customer facing environment would be an advantage but not essential. A positive ‘can-do’ attitude and a customer friendly approach is equally important. Knowing a second language is an advantage but not essential.
