This course is suitable for anyone wishing to begin or continue a career in the care sector.

There are opportunities for both community and residential Care Workers in the Derbyshire area.

Interviews will be available for vacancies with any of the companies within this care consortium.


What can CT Skills offer you?
The qualifications you will gain from this are the following:

  • Level 1 Certificate in Introduction to Health & Social Care
  • Level 1 Certificate in Personal Development for Employability

All learners will complete a short 4 week course in our Derby Learning Centre before being guaranteed an interview with the employer. There are multiple roles available for both domiciliary and residential care positions.

Access to your own vehicle is preferable but not necesssary for all the vacancies.

An enhanced DBS check will be required.


Are you eligible?
If you’re interested in coming along, you need to:

  • Claim out of work benefit: JSA, UC, ESA (WRAG) or Income Support.
  • Be over 19 years of age (must have turned 19 by the 31st of August 2017).*
  • Must be working at Entry Level 3 in an English Assessment.
  • Must be a British or EU citizen and have lived in the UK for 3 years or more.
