Core qualification: Certificate in Health, Social Care and Children’s and Young People’s settings

Length of study: 15 days (approximately 4hrs/day)

Teaching method: Online Virtual Learning at home  with tutor support

The Job Role:

Derbyshire Joined Up Careers are searching for enthusiastic and hard working Day Care Workers.
The role of a Care Worker is to work without direct supervision in the extra care facility providing care and support services in a way that respects the dignity of the individual and promotes independence.

This role includes providing a planned and stimulating environment for individuals and groups within a given setting, acting as key worker to individuals and be responsible for their ongoing review to reflect changes, ensuring the safeguarding of vulnerable adults, participating in meetings as appropriate to include safeguarding, reviews and team meetings and much more.

There are 5 key areas involved in the Health and Social Care course:

• Adult Social care provision and job roles
• Covid 19 in Health & Social Care
• Principles and values in Care
• Laws, legislation, guidance and standards
• Introduction into Safeguarding

Upon completion of the course there is a GUARANTEED job interview with Derbyshire Joined Up Careers.
