The Job Role:

Across Derby there is the opportunity for Care Workers to be employed by Eden Futures, Key2Care or Mediline. This is an
opportunity to rethink your career path and benefit from a venture into the
Health and Social Care industry.

The aim of this role is to support clients to help promote their
independence whilst living in their own home. This could be
anything from helping with meal preparation, medication,
companionship as well as personal care.

At the end of your time with CT Skills, you will have the skills and
qualifications required to confidently attend a pre-arranged interview.

  • Fully-funded blended certified course
  • Level 1 Certificate in Introduction to Health, Social Care and
    Children’s and Young People’s Settings
  • Industry specific interview preparation
  • Guaranteed job interview for Care Worker vacancies with three well known Care companies.
  • Immediate start job vacancies with a wage of £8.72 p/hr.

Eden Futures-

You do NOT need to drive in this role.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Eden Futures as they open
their brand new service in Derby!

As a Support Worker you will work closely with individuals to
support them in their everyday life, so no two days will be the
same. Duties will include both practical and personal tasks such as
supporting the individual to visit family and friends, weekly
shopping, assisting with dressing and personal care and
administering medication to name but a few.

You will need to have a caring and positive nature
• Must to able to be supportive
• Have a calm and tolerant approach
• Empathy is essential
• Ability to work to a rota (a mixture of days, nights and weekends)

Key 2 Care-

As part of a team, provide care and support to people with a range
of complex and challenging needs to enable them to have choice
and control over their lives to:
• Improve and maintain independence of individuals
• Enhance quality of life
• Promote health and wellbeing

Key tasks include: under supervision, provide a planned and stimulating
environment for individuals and groups within a given setting, act as key worker to individuals, participate in meetings, complete records as appropriate to inform the personal service plan and much more.

Key 2 Care: Residential Worker Role:

The roles daily tasks:

  • Support people with personal care, domestic tasks,
    medication and health related activities in line with agreed
    personal care plans.
    • Provide support which helps to meet social and emotional
    • Assist in tasks which support individuals to maintain their
    • Alert managers to changes in individual needs and respond
    in emergency situations liaising with colleagues, other
    agencies, and carers as appropriate and much more.


Drivers and non drivers are welcome in this role.

Mediline Home Care LTD is an award winning provider of health and social care, with quality and dignity at the heart of what they do.

Their clients are enabled to remain independent in their homes due to the following levels of care carried out by Care Workers including:

  • Assisting to wash and dress
  • Meal Preparation
  • Domestic Support i.e general housework
  • Medication support (prompting and administering)

All Mediline Care employees are required to work weekends on a rota basis with days off in the week to compensate.
