Care Professionals Inspired to Care Leicestershire

March 17

Core qualification: Certificate in Health, Social Care and Children’s and Young People’s settings

Length of study: 15 days (approximately 4hrs/day)

Teaching method: Online Remote Delivery

Cost: Government funded (see eligibility below)

The Job Role:

Inspired to Care are searching for Care Professionals to provide Home Care.

Professionals in these services help residents with everyday tasks such as washing, taking medication, using the toilet and getting dressed. Care professionals also support residents to take part in hobbies and social activities, such as group baking sessions and listening to their favourite music.

A home care professional’s day is usually organised by a timetable of appointments (often called ‘visits’ or ‘calls’). Care workers travel between visits using their own car, walking, or travelling with a colleague. Many work alone, although some may work with a colleague (sometimes called ‘double ups’) or, in rarer cases, more than one colleague if the individual has very complex needs.

This short-course with CT Skills is designed specifically for those requiring access to fast, sustainable employment opportunities with the skills needed to succeed at interview.

There are a 5 technical skills that are covered in the course and on average will increase an adult’s salary by £13,000/year compared to someone without these skills:

• Adult Social care provision and job roles
• Covid 19 in Health & Social Care
• Principles and values in Care
• Laws, legislation, guidance and standards
• Introduction into Safeguarding

Upon completion of the course there is a GUARANTEED job interview with Inspired to Care.
