My journey to becoming an apprentice

Week Five

Apprentice: Beth Wood (19)
Job Role: Recruitment Administrator with CT Skills
Qualification: Business Administration Level 3

This week has been another eventful one; Tuesday we had a big team meeting which consisted of a lot of valuable information, group activities, team building skills and most importantly many laughs and smiles throughout the day! Days like Tuesday really show how well we all work together as a team and how much we all value what CT Skills truly stands for. A good company stands on the basis of how well we are able to work together, helping one another and supporting each and every aspect of the business in order for us all to succeed together! It always helps having little friendly competitions every now and then that’s for sure, nothing wrong with keeping things interesting and keeping everyone on their toes.

On Wednesday I attended my very first Road Show with Dharm our Business Development Executive for Derby. This meant we went to a company called Derwent Living, whom is a housing association! We have joined in partnership with them to help them upskill their current employees within maths and English. This is a great way to help refresh your skills in two subjects which are required somewhat in most job roles. Functional Skills are well known throughout, it’s a recognised qualification that you keep for life and can help you gain further qualifications in many sectors if you wish to do so.

We had a very successful day with Derwent Living; we had many of their employees extremely keen on up-skilling themselves in both areas. This then has the potential for them to move on to a new course such as; Business Administration, Customer Service, Housing and Management etc. These courses allow them to be certified within their current or maybe new job role.

If you are interested as an employee or an employer in helping yourself or your employees get the best out  of work then why not give us a call or drop us on email and we are all very happy to help you and your company progress and offer the best you can whatever that may be!

This will be my last blog now, but not forever! In the meantime, I’ll be back writing my new one for in about 3 months time, showing you a little bit more what I get up to as apprentice with CT Skills!

Thanks for coming back and enjoying this journey with me.

See you soon
