Business booming for CT Skills

Monday, June 26 2017

Midlands-based training and recruitment provider CT Skills has announced a major increase in its business development operations including the arrivals of two new key members of staff.

Kam Penglin and Jarrad Johnson have joined the company as the Head of Business Development and PR & Communications respectively.

Kam was Business Development Director at a national competitor and brings with her invaluable experience in growing training companies by forming outstanding partnerships with other businesses.

Jarrad, a broadcaster and journalist, has been appointed to the newly-created PR & Communications Executive role.

He said: “I’m delighted to be joining the CT Skills family and to help them achieve their targets and goals.

“I’m personally very passionate about helping people to improve both themselves and their lives so this is a perfect opportunity for me to communicate the good work being done here.”

It marks an exciting time of expansion at the company which, in the past year, has grown in staff numbers from 90 to over 120 and opened new learning centres in Mansfield and Chesterfield.

The company has also secured approval to provide nine new qualifications to its learners in the past nine months – including Level 5 management qualifications and new Apprenticeship standards.

Not only that, CT Skills has secured exciting Apprenticeship Levy partnerships with large local employers in the public, private and voluntary sectors to help these companies increase their productivity and staff retention while at the same time cutting recruitment costs.

Securing key staff members, breaking into new sectors, delivering higher level qualifications and expanding into South Yorkshire all amount to exciting times ahead for CT Skills.
